Founder and owner

Alain Messinger

Alain is an experienced engineer, who spent his entire career in the field of membrane technology. Alain graduated 1989 from the Swiss Federal High School of Technology (ETH) with a masters in food engineering. He then worked as a R&D engineer for two world leading companies in fruit processing. 1992 he founded Messinger Membrane Systems AG and built it up to an interdisciplinary company, with laboratory, pilot-plant and workshop. He left the company 2005, but continued designing and building membrane systems for the food and biotech industries on his own. 2016, by getting aware that industrial membrane technology is dramatically lacking computational intelligence, Alain founded Messinger Engineering. At Messinger Engineering he has multiple roles as a researcher, innovator and entrepreneur for novel membrane processes and -plants within the entire lifecycle of a membrane system.
